三、“on the other hand”与“on the contrary”

四、“because of”与“due to”
“because of”和“due to”都表示“因为”“由于”的意思，但在用法上有一些区别。“because of”比较口语化，可以用来引出原因，其后面可以接名词、代词、动名词等。“The game was postponed because of the bad weather.”（由于天气不好，比赛被推迟了）。“due to”相对更正式一些，在句中的用法更倾向于作表语或者后置定语。“The delay was due to technical problems.”（延误是由于技术问题）。
五、“in spite of”与“despite”

“in spite of”和“despite”都表示“尽管”“不顾”的意思，在用法上基本相同，后面都接名词、代词或者动名词。“In spite of / Despite the rain, they still went for a walk.”（尽管下雨，他们仍然去散步了），不过，“despite”比“in spite of”在书面语中使用得更频繁一些。
